Peter Mensah born on 27 August, 1959 in Chiraa, Ghana is a Ghanaian-British actor. He was born to parents of Brong Ahafo Region in Ghana. He is of an academic family. The father is an Engineer and his mother a Writer, has two younger sisters. Peter started the act of Marshal at a tender age of six and landed him at a great height.

Mensah is best known for his roles in Tears of the Sun, Hidalgo, 300, and Sgt. Zach Hammond in Dead Space, and more recently on the Starz original series,  Oenomaus in Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, and Spartacus: Vengeance.
