With real name Monica Denise Brown and professional name Monica (née Arnold). She was born on 24  October, 1980 and raised in College Park, Georgia. She is an American Singer, Songwriter, Producer, and Actress. She began performing as a child and became part of a traveling gospel choir at the age of ten. She has the following as her siblings; Montez, half brother Jermond GrantTron and Cypress.   
Monica has done well in her music career as she, in 1995 went multi-platinum, with her first two singles, “Don’t Take It Personal” and “Before You Walk Out of My Life”, followed by “The Boy Is Mine”, earned her major international chart success. Pushed by its Grammy Award-winning number-one hit title track.
She is also act as she has featured in several movies among which are; Boys and Girls, All Eyez On Me, Love Song and others are Pastor Brown, American Dreams and Felicity.
