South African Playwright and writer who was born in Eastern Cape. She has worked with top writers on top productions such as Home Affairs and 4play;Sex Tips for Girls and the 2006 award-winning Jozi H. Bongi studied drama at the then Natal Technikon and, to please her mom, also completed a teaching diploma. She is a mother with son.
As a script writter, she has worked on numerous South African television shows, including Generations, Jozi-H, Gaz’lam and Hillside.

Her stage play, Shreds and Dreams (2004) which was made into a mini-series in 2011 and later revived into a full season order of 26 episodes in 2014.
