Lungisani True-man Ngidi was born on 29 March, 1996. He is a South African first-class cricketer. He was included in the Northerns cricket team squad for the 2015 Africa T20 Cup. In July 2016 Cricket South Africa named him as the Africa T20 Cup player of the year. In August 2017, he was named in Benoni Zalmi’s squad for the first season of the T20 Global League. However, in October 2017, Cricket South Africa postponed the tournament until November 2018.

In January 2017 Ngidi was included in South Africa’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against Sri Lanka. He made his T20I debut for South Africa against Sri Lanka on 20 January 2017 and was awarded man of the match. During the T20I series, Lungi was named in South Africa’s squad for their One Day International (ODI) matches against Sri Lanka. However, he was ruled out of the ODI series because of an abdominal injury, Sri Lanka in South Africa.
