Zambian musician Chama Camila Decruz was born on Christmas 1992 in Lusaka. She’s a singer, songwriter, model and actress who has performed on various concerts and beauty pageant events. Her music was greatly inspired by Patricia Jumbe who was her late mother. She practiced with her every time she had entertainment competitions at school. her mother would train her how to sing, dance and make sure that the crown is happy. Camila Decruz is the second born in the family of three.
Camila mother was a business Woman while Her father was a police officer. When her Dad past on, life became so hard for her mum to look after her children. She remember she used to tell us to be strong. She always advised us to be obedient and hard working. After a few years, her mother too went to heaven. Life became harder, together with her siblings they had to find a way forward. they ended up going different ways in search for shelter.
In the year 2013, She composed her first song, but she never got a chance to record it not until in 2014 when she released it. Title of the song was One Love and to my surprise, it received quite enough power play across most radio and TV stations within Zambia. Since then, her music graph has been blessed for her have so far worked with Zambian musicians like Tsean, Hamoba, Ruff Kid and so many. My dream is to be recognized as one of Zambia’s finest music divas as well as fashion stars.
