Kenyan Actress, Mary Oyaya widely known for the role of the Mirialan Jedi Master Luminara Unduli in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones born in the coastal town of Mombasa in Kenya, Africa. She has lived in several diverse areas of the globe-Africa, Canada, Sweden, and currently Australia.
Since childhood, she has always wanted to receive recognition internationally and aspired to work for the United Nations like her parents, who themselves were UN diplomats for many years. Mary obtained a master’s degree in international relations, as well accomplished a second master’s degree in international social development in addition to a modelling course. She has also worked with refugees in Australia for several NGOs.

She began a modeling career in 1996 after she successfully completed a course in screen acting. Mary has been featured in fashion magazines such as CAT and S where she has advertised Salvatore Ferragamo and Gucci sunglasses, Chanel, and Jan Logan jewelry and footwear with Sergio Rossi. She has also appeared onscreen with commercials for Telstra Communications, Hewlett Packard Bell, and various sports advertisements.
