Omotu Bissong is a Nigerian model, actress and TV presenter best known as Funke Lawal in Desperate Housewives Africa. From Yala in Cross River State and formerly addressed as Celia Bissong, she attended Nigerian Navy Primary school and Nigerian Navy Secondary school, both in Calabar.
She started her modelling career when she was a child and participated in competitions while she was in primary school. Omotu was the first Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria winner from the South-South and this gave her the opportunity to compete at Miss Universe and Miss World beauty pageants.

Omotu moved to America and there she signed up with another model agency whilst studying Accounting at the City University of New York. She later returned to Nigeria in 2009 and opened a model management company.
In addition to her modelling career, Omotu has worked in television, presenting The Peak Talent Hunt Show and Africa Awakes on DSTV. She has also starred films like: Be My Guest, Common Man, Woeman, Knock Knock and the African adaptation of Desperate Housewives.
