He is a member of the hip hop outfit Jozi, with Da L.E.S. and Ishmael. Also a former Big Dudes band member, he plays piano, drums, guitar and congas. He produced hip hop and pop hits as a solo and a group artist, releasing his debut solo album African Boy at the age of 10.
Bongani’s parents are deceased and he has a daughter named Brenda Nombuso Fassie with long term girlfriend Buhle Sangweni.
In 2014 he was one of the three celebrities who were documented on the second season of the e.tv constructed reality docu-series, in which they had to perform community service tasks and use their fame for the betterment of others. Till date he still sells and captivate the mind of his fans.
