Grethe Fox is a South African actress who is popularly known for her role as Karen van Niekerk in the SABC1 drama series Soul City, from 1999-2003. She is featured both as a stage and screen actress

She earned a diploma from the University of Cape Town majoring in mime and theater at the Jacques Lecoq School of Mime and Theater in Paris, France. Afterwards, she moved into art projects creating a cinematic portrait of Isabel Doll and The Soweto Street Beat Dancers. She also did a biographical profile of actress Anna-Mart.

Among her appearances on television includes: The role of Aletta Brink in Amalia, Harriet Thompson in Isidingo, Gertruida Pretorius in Roer Jou Voete and a host others.
