South African musician Lady Zamar, born Yamikan Janet Banda in Mamelodi, South Africa known to have featured on some hits such as: Pitori, Mamelodi, Dark Shadows, Love is Blind and Charlotte. In addition to her music career, she is also an avid philanthropist and businesswomen using her gained knowledge of the entertainment and fashion scene to develop the Lady Zamar Entertainment brand.
She grew from being a school teacher who wanted to further her career to teach in Korea to a renowned artiste. She delved into music after she and Junior Taurus released Run Away and it took off.

In March, she released her debut album King Zamar, which took her two years to make. She recently released the music video for her latest single My Baby and she plans on going on a nationwide tour later this year. Lady Zamar is currently signed to UMG South Africa.
She won Song of the Year at the recent inaugural DSTV Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards.
