Richards Omos-Iboyi was born on 11 February, 1985 in his parents’s hometown Agbarha-Otor town of Ughelli North L.G.A of Delta State Nigeria. He is the last of 6 children. He has nickname to be Lion, his idol is Mel Gidson and aspires to be like Gidson in his career wise. Mike acquired his college education at Ibru College Agbarha-Otor and developed a passion for entertainment engagements in his early age where he began script writing and stage play coordinating and performances at a tender age of 13 in his local Literary, Debating and Dramatic Club, LDDC.

When he became the president of LDDC in Ughelli North and environs it dawned on him  him that he could do more than just a stage play performer. In 2014 he left his hometown to the city of Lagos, Nigeria to find himself a space in the Nollywood industry. First he was trained and became an Editor at Crystal mind studios and academy in Lagos. With time his skills and fame spread across the Industry and he further progressed into film directing under the tutorship of several veteran directors.
He shot his first movie THE PRIVATE HUSBAND in 2011 which he sponsored, featuring lots of  Nigerian actors. As his career blossomed Richards furthered his education at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) where he studied economics. He has since edited over 80 Nigeria/Ghana movies and directed over 30 movies most of which he produced and some personally sponsored by him.
In 2014 he was certified and given membership certificate by the Director’s Guild of Nigeria, D.G.N, a body of professional movie directors in Nigeria. He is the C.E.O of LION-HILLS MOVIES, the company behind some of the top shot Nollywood  movies in the last decade.  He is also the  co-founder and managing director of Ekoja partners Limited and EkojaTV, and online/web television currently making news around the NET and the world at large. Some of the movies he has to his credit as a director includes; Private Husband, Queen Of The Niger, Unthinkable, Wanted Girl, Ritual Girls, Innocent Killer, Take My Wife, Olaedo The Fisher Girl.
Omos has bagged several awards for himself among which are the Afrifimo awards in Washington DC U.S.A, the best African movie of the year 2013
