Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is a Nigerian politician and activist who ran for governor of Osun State in the 2007 elections on the Action Congress platform. He was born on May 25, 1957.

Prior to the 2007 gubernatorial election, Aregbesola was Lagos Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure. After the election, he appealed to the tribunal stating the malpractices that went on during the election. After several investigations and controversies, Justices of the Federal Appeal Court, Ibadan finally declared Aregbesola the winner of the 2007 election, ordering that he be sworn in as governor by noon on 27 November 2010.

Aregbesola also contested for the 2014 poll for the second term as the Governor of Osun state, he was declared the winner of the August 9th,2014 election and returned elected for another term of 4 years

He is married to Sherifat Aregbesola and they have two children; Shakirat Aregbesola, Kabiru Aregbesola.
