Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha is a Nigerian businessman, education philanthropist and politician who is the governor of Imo State, Nigeria. He was born on 22 September 1962 in Ogboko, Ideato South, Imo State.

Born from from a poor family, he struggled to see himself through school. He attended Juladaco High School, Jos in 1976 and graduated in 1981. He obtained a diploma in Public Administration and an advanced diploma in Public Administration from the University of Jos. At the age of 23, Rochas became a proprietor of a school and then went into cement business (BBC) in Gboko, Benue State.
And at the age of 29, he became a member of National Constitutional Conference and a member of Federal Character Commission. Thereafter, he went to contest for governor but failed and shortly after that he ran for presidency and was later appointed presidential adviser on Inter-Party Affairs by President Olusegun Obasanjo. He was elected governor of Imo state on 6th May, 2011 and was re-elected for his second term on April 11, 2015.

Rochas is the President/Founder, Rochas Foundation Inc a charity comprising a number of special schools that are spread all over Nigeria that gives scholarship to the less privileged children in the Nigerian society. He is also the President, Rochas Group of Companies Limited, Pro Chancellor, African Business School and Former Chairman, Board of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency.
Rochas Okorocha has contested under several political parties. He was eith Action Alliance (AA) party in 2005, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA), All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
He is married to Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha and they have many children.
