Emma Saunders Bio - Age

Emma Saunders is a football presenter. You must have seen her on the screen covering the Premier League, EFL, and WSL. She works for Sky Sports but some reports claim she also works for BBC Sports, we are not sure of such a report. She shows the world her unique talent in sports presentation.

Early Life

Since her childhood days, she has loved sports and has been a huge fan of Watford. When she turned 8, Emma got a full season ticket and this never stopped until she relocated to Southampton for her studies at the city’s college. Despite her love for football, there’s another passion underlying beneath, which is Tennis, yes!! She loves tennis so much. From her early years, she had a passion for Tennis and played it till she joined a proper tennis club. After joining a Tennis club, the ever-passionate woman represented Hertfordshire regularly. Saunders even traveled for tournaments and later played other sports such as Netball and hockey during her secondary education.

Education

All her dreams were to be in sports in one way or another. She scanned for a course that could bring her closer to sports, physiotherapy came to mind but later she studied geography at the University of Southampton. However, while in school she somehow got involved in student radio.

Career

During her second year at the University of Southampton, she got good news and this was her comment;

“In my 2nd year, I saw a work experience opportunity at the BBC called Kick Off. It’s a trainee scheme pitched at people who have a proven passion for sports and want the opportunity to learn how to be a sports reporter. I remember so clearly dropping everything in the library and calling my Mum to tell her how excited I was even to see the job post! I applied and was fortunately selected to train with the BBC Radio London team during the 2012 Olympics.”

Her fame has grown as a sports presenter. Emma Saunders hosted the coverage of Wimbledon, the Champions League final, the London Marathon, and many others.
