Betty Okino Biography – Age, Husband

Born on June 4, 1975 in Entebbe, Uganda to Francis Okino (Ugandan) and Aurelia Matei a native of Romania, Elizabeth Anne (“Betty”) Okino is a former gymnast and Olympic medalist, and an American actress. She and her family left Uganda for United States when she was only 9 and there she began her career as a gymnast. In 1990, she was placed second in the all-around and won the balance beam title at the U.S. Nationals and in the following year Okino also won a silver medal in team finals and a bronze on the balance beam in the 1991 World Gymnastics Championships. She’s married to Jacob Daniel DeVere.
