Lerato Mvelase (maiden: Moloisane) was born on September 7, 1982 in Soweto. She is a South African actress and television presenter. Lerato attended Sacred Heart College and later received her degree in Drama at Wits University in 2002. She did a Communication Science diploma through UNISA in 2006 and made her acting debut in e.tv soapie Backstage (2003), which she followed up with the role of Mbali, a young college design student, in the first season of the SABC1 drama series Mzansi (2004).
Lerato is multilingual, speaking English, South Sotho, Tswana, Zulu and Xhosa fluently. She have featured in this TV series; Mzansi – Season 1 as Mbali, Society – Season 2 as Dr Ntokozo Mabaso, Soul City – Season 12 as Nokhanyo, Thola – Season 1 as Dipuo Nuru and many more.
