German Sanou started his football career professionally for Centre Saint-Étienne Bobo, Burkino Faso for before he moved to France to join Saint-Étienne B.
International
He featured at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, and made his senior international debut for Burkina Faso team in 2010. He was selected as part of Burkina Faso’s preliminary squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
