Beji Caid Essebsi is a Tunisian politician best known as the president of Tunisia since December 2014. He was born on November 29, 1926 in Sidi Bou Said, making him one of the oldest serving president in Africa after Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe. Before he rose to be the president, he served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1981 to 1986 and as Prime Minister from February 2011 to December 2011. When he was sworn in as the president under the Call of Tunisia political party, he was 88years of age. His wife’s name is Chadlia Saïda Farhat and they have four children namely; Amel, Mohamed Hafedh, Salwa and Khélil.
