Mpilo Mamiza is a South African businessperson from Nelspruit, Mpumalanga. He is a Real Estate Developer, Investor, Activist and Founder & Chairman of Foeva Properties (Pty) Ltd. As a student, he studied a Diploma In Accounting at the University Of Johannesburg (UJ). Mpilo Mamiza was also a DJ and a music producer who recorded under the name “Seldotive” with House 365 Records.
Mpilo Mamiza was born in Nelspruit in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. He was raised there by both his parents. From the information he submitted to Mybiohub team, we are made to know that He’s the first born to his parents, Hendry Mamiza (father) and Mirriam Sithole (mother). Mpilo Mamiza is one of three children and the only boy. He has two younger sisters. In 2007 his family learned of the daughter his father fathered prior to the relationship with his mother.
Mpilo Mamiza attended Zamani Primary School in Nelspruit in Mpumalanga from 1999 to 2006 and then attended Bambanani Combined School from 2007 to 2008. In 2005, while doing grade 5 at Zamani Primary School, he became the top achieving pupil in the that school and was awarded with merit certificates.
He later attended Mshadza Secondary School, Nelspruit, Mpumalanga from 2009. He also enrolled for a non-subsidised program called JASA (Junior Achievement South Africa).

This particular program offered theoretical and practical experiences in Business Management with specific focal areas such as Business Ethics, Market & Product Research, Financial Management and Control, Team Work, Communication Skills, Sales and Marketing among other related fields.
Mpilo Mamiza was awarded with a recognition certificate for successfully completing the program (Junior Achievement South Africa) on October 28, 2009. He successfully completed his matric in 2011 and in 2012 he moved to Rosebank, Johannesburg where he was doing a copywriter competition with YFM & AAA School of advertising.
In that program Mpilo Mamiza made it to the top 5 where he concluded adverts which aired on Radio for Vaseline and Virgin Active. In 2013 he returned to his native province of Mpumalanga and enrolled with Brooklyn City College for a National Higher Certificate in Financial Accounting, but due to the organisation’s finance issues he deregistered.
After leaving Brooklyn City College Mpilo Mamiza went on to register at the University Of Johannesburg where he did a Diploma in Accounting. During his time at that institution he took part in numerous activities and student societies which sparked in him an interest in entrepreneurship.
Mpilo Mamiza, while at University of Johannesburg, he was a member of YMCA which is a male residence. During the University’s Residence Year-End function he was awarded with two certificates one of which was for Leadership as he had displayed a very strong character in leading fellow students as a floor-representative. Mpilo Mamiza also received another certificate for being the most active member in the residence’s Community Engagement unit.
Music Career; 2009 – 2016
Mpilo Mamiza was a DJ and record producer. In 2014 he signed a recording deal with House 365 Records. During the existence of that deal he digitally released an EP titled “Deep enRoute Vol. 1”. It was released on the online platforms only which included Beatport , iTunes and Traxsource. The EP, “Deep enRoute Vol. 1”, consisted of 3 tracks.
In 2014 he was invited for an interview on Ligwalagwala FM, where one of the tracks, “Infinite Touch”, from his debut EP, “Deep enRoute Vol. 1”, aired. That interview boosted his public profile and social media presence as well as served for recognizing of his music. He also did a few unofficial remixes, some of which received positive feedback on Sound Cloud.
Mpilo Mamiza had played with some major DJs including the likes of DJ Fresh, Mo Flava, DJ Terance and Trancemicsoul. He had planed to collaborate with Soul Candi DJ/Artist Vincemo , who was featured on Stereo Candi Vol. 1, but that collaboration never came to fruition as he suddenly abandoned the music career in favour of a business career. In 2016 Mpilo Mamiza did his last show at Newtown Cappello in Johannesburg.
Business Career; 2014 – to date
Mpilo Mamiza left a music career in favour of a business career. He is the founder and Chairman of Foeva Properties (Pty) Ltd. a property developing company, which is 100% black owned and has up to 30% women ownership, 60% women participation in the board of directors and is formed to be in full compliance with The B-BBEE Act, so as to enforce black participation in the business industry.
