Ncebakazi Msomi came from a musically gifted family and grew up in the Eastern Cape as a typical church girl at the Assemblies of God in Mdantsane. She sang in the choir when she moved to Gauteng and her fame kicked off when she attended with her choir at an event known as Joyous Celebration.
