Bola Tinubu Biography – Age, Real Name

Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu known by many as Asiwaju or Jagaban is a Nigerian politician that became popular as the 12th Governor of Lagos State between 29 May 1999 – 29 May 2007. Born on 29 March 1952 in the city of Lagos, Nigeria, he has a lot of influence on the politics of Nigeria today.

After his graduation in United States, he worked for American companies Arthur Andersen, Deloitte, Haskins, & Sells, and GTE Services Corporation and finally returned back to Nigeria in 1983. He began his political career in 1992 and in 2015, through his negotiations, he brought together the fragmented opposition parties into a “mega-party” capable of challenging the People Democratic Party, and they defeated PDP in the presidential election which brought President Muhammadu Buhari to power. Tinubu was succeeded by Babatunde Fashola as Governor of Lagos state.
